The Port of Holyhead is located at the far west of the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. Holyhead Ferry Terminals, one for passengers & one for vehicles, are operated by Stena Line & Irish Ferries, operating services to Ireland.

The town of Holyhead has a number of excellent places to eat plus a local theatre & cinema.

Anglesey itself is a wonderful place to visit, it offers excellent fishing, golfing, sailing, beautiful scenery, walks & beaches, as well as a number of historic & prehistoric sites.

How to get to Holyhead Ferry Port by Car
Holyhead Ferry Port is located near to Holyhead town centre at the far western end of Anglesey in
North Wales & is conveniently situated about 100 metres from the end of the main A55 dual carriageway
from Chester and the A5 from the Midlands.

This busy port is approx 1 hour 40 mins from Chester, 2 hours from Liverpool & around 3 hours 15 mins
from Birmingham by car.
Once you reach the town centre follow the signs marked Holyhead Ferries.

 
How to get to Holyhead Ferry Port by Train

Holyhead Railway Station is situated next to the Port Terminal building and offers direct services to all major rail routes.

Terminal Facilities
Holyhead Ferry Port Terminal facilities include a passenger's cafe as well as a motorist's one serving a selection of snacks, hot & cold drinks, ATM, Baggage Trolleys, a bureau de change, tourist information, Payphone, Hot & Cold Drinks Vending Machines, car hire, lifts, as well as disabled access and toilets.
 
Car Parking

The Port offers free short term parking ( 20 minutes only ) which is available outside the main terminal building. This facility is only for dropping off and picking up passengers using the ferry services. Please beware vehicle clamping ( £50 release fee ) is in operation. The long term car parks ( 560 spaces ) are situated a short distance from the terminal building. Current costs are £8.00 per day.  
Payment can be made at the pay and ticket machines.
A free park and ride shuttle bus service operates around the ships arrival and departure times. The car parks are patrolled & also have CCTV coverage.

Nearest Petrol Station

There is a Tesco Supermarket and Petrol Station on the Penrhos Industrial Estate approx 1 mile from the Ferry Port just off both the A55 and A5. Phone 0845 6779356 Open Mon-Fri 8am - 9pm Sat 7.30am to 9pm Sun 10am to 4pm

Special Needs Information
The Ferry Terminals have lifts, escalators, disabled toilet facilities, as well as disabled parking bays outside. Wheelchairs are available on request. Priority boarding can be provided to disabled car drivers and passengers, providing notification has been given at the time of booking. A Mother and Baby room is also available.
